Bio

Katie Elder completed her BA in Fine Art at Oxford Brookes University and graduated from Wimbledon College of Art in 2010 with a Masters in Fine Art-Painting. She currently has her studio as part of the Bomb Factory Art Foundation in North London where she continues her practice

She has exhibited at a number of galleries and art fairs, predominantly in London with her international debut in New York at the Broadway Gallery, 2010. In 2013 she was the youngest artist to be selected for the Critics’ Secrets Exhibition at the Mall Galleries. She was championed by the critic, writer and poet Edward Lucie-Smith. In recent years she has also turned her hand to portraiture - a natural progression as the human form has always been central to her work. She has assisted the renown artist, Patrick Hughes, for several years now, and at the start of 2018 showcased her work with Hughes and his other studio assistants at ART HIX gallery.
